OH Assist operates robust clinical governance procedures to support modern high quality evidence-based healthcare delivery. Chaired by our Chief Medical Officer, OH Assist’s Clinical Governance Board manages clinical risk, professional, ethical and research activity for all contracts and business areas. The Chief Medical Officer is the Caldicott Guardian for OH Assist.
Through rigorous risk assessment and clinical audit, we demonstrate consistent quality and continual improvement. Customers are our first priority. We have a large and diverse range of clients and we measure customer satisfaction in ways appropriate to each of them. We design and deliver excellent solutions drawing on our experience of what works best in practice, and on our IT strengths.
The personal and professional development of our staff is a high priority, and is enabled through a range of programmes. Our practitioners maintain contact with professional peers to enhance their clinical effectiveness. We organise conferences, and our staff attend many external events to enhance their knowledge.
Our appraisal system for doctors is recognised by the CHKS Healthcare Accreditation & Quality Unit (HAQU – formerly the Health Quality Service) – the longest established health accreditation service in the UK and Europe. It was developed after a comprehensive and rigorous external review of our systems that support licensing and revalidation of our medical professionals.
