Chris Jessop, Chairman

Chris Jessop

Chris Jessop is an experienced Chairman and highly successful CEO, with both operational and investment experience across multiple sectors and geographies.

In addition to his role at OH Assist, Chris is Chairman of Viavi, an international health management company and is a business adviser. He also sits on the advisory board of the London South Bank University Business School. Chris has previously been a divisional Managing Director at AXA PPP, an Executive Board Member and divisional CEO of Nuffield Health and a divisional Managing Director at BUPA. He has also shaped and grown a number of PE and business angel backed businesses, consistently generating sizeable shareholder returns. His early career was in FMCG brand management.

Chris has previously been recognised as UK Healthcare Entrepreneur of the Year.

Lisa Allan, Chief Executive

Lisa is a biochemist, who worked in occupational asthma research for nine years before joining OH Assist in 2001. She began her career with us managing miners’ compensation medical assessments for vibration white finger and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. She moved to occupational health operations, becoming an Account Director and then Business Development Director.

Now as Chief Executive, Lisa’s focus is on service innovation to meet our clients’ future needs, ensuring that we deliver OH services to the highest possible standards by integrating different OH disciplines and working together as one team.

Dr Lucy Wright, Chief Medical Officer

Lucy worked in the NHS, and at a senior level in the Health and Safety Executive and the oil industry before joining us in 2006. She was a member of the Industrial Injuries Advisory Council, and is an examiner with the Faculty of Occupational Medicine.

Lucy leads the clinical staff, managing clinical governance and standards, and working with clients to develop and deliver their distinctive health strategies.

Tony Stalgis, Service Delivery Director

Tony was a well-being practitioner for four years before taking on management roles with the Post Office’s occupational health service, where he worked with Dr Steve Boorman on outsourcing plans. A specialist in social policy with an MBA, Tony has worked in account management and operations management since joining us. As Service Delivery Director, he is now responsible for making sure that we meet the service delivery standards expected by our clients.

Jonathan Thomas, Finance Director

Jonathan is a chartered management accountant, experienced in healthcare and IT industries. His responsibility is to ensure that the business grows in a profitable and sustainable manner, which means that our clients are happy with the service they receive from us.

Tracey Connolly, HR Director

Tracey leads on the People Strategy for the business and has responsibility for all aspects of HR and Central Functions including Employee Benefits, Reward and Recognition, Health, Safety and the Environment, Learning and Development, Communications and key business and people accreditations such as ISO and IIP.

Joanne Newey, Business Development Director

Jo Newey

Jo graduated from the University of Sheffield with a degree in Chemistry, and worked in IT for nine years before joining OH Assist in 2007 as a Senior Account Manager responsible for a large portfolio of Occupational Health clients before becoming Account Director and more recently Business Development Director.  Jo now leads our team of Account Managers, Solution Managers, Bid Writers and Sales Executives.  Jo has an MBA from the University of Warwick writing her final thesis on the area of Change Management.  Jo has a passion for customer service utilising her role within OH Assist as the catalyst to direct change to deliver value to clients.

Andrew Kinder, Chief Psychologist

Jo Newey

Andrew is a Chartered Counselling & Chartered Occupational Psychologist, is the Past Chair of British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy’s Workplace Division (www.bacpworkplace.org.uk) and was recently awarded with a Fellowship from BACP for his contribution to workplace counselling.  He is a registered coach and is the current Chair of the UK Employee Assistance Professionals Association.

He has published widely and is particularly interested in the management of mental health within organisations.  He is responsible for delivering wellbeing consultancy services to our major customers including how to increase employee engagement and organisational performance.  He sits on the Clinical Governance Board and leads on the psychological and Employee Assistance areas of work.
